In a time when established jazz "groups" are scarce, GEQ is that rare gem that plays classic jazz, be-bop and nu-jazz music of the highest artistic quality.

The band’s high energy has been compared respectfully to the likes of Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers and the John Coltrane and Miles Davis ensembles and has received acceptance from worldwide audiences.
